Turkey: ban to leave a country until paid fines for unpaid tolls

Turkey introduces new changes in Traffic regulation law related to the use of paid road sections in the country.

According the amended new rules all owners of vehicles with foreign registration plates will have to pay the relevant toll rates for the paid road sections or paid bridges in Turkey. Toll rates are determined by the distance and vehicle category.



If a vehicle with foreign registration, that has been imposed with a fine for unpaid toll taxes, will not be able to leave the country until they paid the fine.

This was announced by the Minister of Transport and Communications supplies of the country’s Ahmet Arslan.
