Turkey – face recognition – one and the same person to drive

According to an internal departmental order, new rules for entering the Republic of Turkey are in force.

All persons entering and leaving Turkey are subject to visual and facial control. For this purpose, analyzers (cameras) are installed at every counter at the entrance and exit of the country. The rule began to apply already at the Kapakule border crossing, Hamzabeyli border crossing and Derekoy border crossing.

What does it mean? One and the same person is required to drive the vehicle in arriving and leaving the country!

The actual implementation of the new requirements means that each passenger’s face is required to be scanned/photographed by digital analysers and then proceed to the next documentary and customs check.
